Think of me as an in-house organizational developer.

I like to say that strategy vs execution is a false distinction. The best organizations have a tight feedback loop between strategy and execution (or analysis and implementation, as Helsinki Design Lab put it).

Most organizations have a large gap between strategy and execution. To the teams doing the work, the strategy their leaders tout doesn’t feel real. To leaders, it seems like teams aren’t focused on the “right” thing. The folks doing operations aren’t on the same page with the folks doing strategy. In reality, both teams should be in constant, healthy dialogue about the what and the how.

I’ll look at your org’s strategy, examine how your teams work, and help you bridge the gap between strategy and execution.

I work with leaders on clarifying their strategy, then learn about your team’s roadblocks. From there, I’ll facilitate alignment between leaders and teams, so that the dialogue between leaders and teams is generative. That way everyone is on the same page towards the same shared future they want to create.

I’m lucky to have worked with some amazing organizations throughout my career.

I’ve helped organizations…

  • Create a shared understanding of their organizational strategy

  • Craft a product strategy

  • Articulate their work to be done given the shared understanding of their strategy

  • Set up the rhythms, tools, and agreements necessary to realize their strategy

  • Clarify roles, responsibilities, and decision rights (which ultimately help their team move more quickly)

  • Improve how they work cross-functionally

  • Make more equitable decisions (by getting clear on the tradeoffs they need to make to realize their strategy)

  • Increase autonomy across the organization

  • Actually practice “psychological safety” and “continuous improvement”
